About Amy McKee

I grew up in the Triangle, graduated from NC State University, and am now raising a family in South Durham. Born in Minnesota, my family made the move to NC when I was not quite five years old. My top reasons for being onboard with the move were all the trees, and the sparkle of the RDU runway. I still greatly appreciate all the greenspace the Triangle and our state has to offer.  

As a Triangle local, I consider myself knowledgeable and passionate about the community. I purchased my home in the buyers’ market of 2011 and have navigated the height of the sellers’ market during the pandemic. That, paired with honest transparency and pragmatism, allows me to connect with clients and meet them where they are, whatever their needs. 

Prior to real estate, several years of my career as a Nutritionist were spent focusing on supporting mothers and children to improve diet and breastfeeding outcomes. From those years, I bring expertise in identifying barriers and creating SMART goals in order to achieve success. The focus of these skills has now shifted from health behavior change to creating a pathway to success in achieving home owners' dreams.

When I’m not helping people move on to their next home-owning adventure, you can find me at the South Durham Farmers’ Market, tending to my slightly neglected vegetable garden, creating in the kitchen, chasing after my two sweet boys by foot or bike, hiking, or exploring foodie hotspots. I am also an active member of our school’s PTA and neighborhood HOA board.
